Midnight Daughter (stage moniker for Aurora Smedley) began after a vivid spiritual experience.  After a spontaneous and revelatory vision, Aurora began her journey in Seattle with violinist Bryan Djunaedi and within a year was selected as a finalist for the Tiny Desk Contest, featured on KISW, and interviewed on KEXP.  

After multiple lineup changes through COVID, Aurora finally took the project solo in 2024, releasing her self-titled debut, MIDNIGHT DAUGHTER in Spring of 2024 to accolades in Metal Magazine, LADYGUNN, New Noise, etc. 

With dynamics evoking classical composition, searing four-octave vocal delivery, and evocative lyricism, Midnight Daughter is a force of nature.
